I’m Chilean, and I’ve called Berlin home for a while now. As an expat myself, I’ve learned that things that are already hard get a little harder here, and finding childcare you can actually trust is one of them. But let’s be honest: this is something every parent struggles with, no matter where you’re from.
I’ve lived this search myself. For three years, we had an au pair. Now that my son Mika is 4, finding the right babysitter became my new focus, and my new obsession, really.
